Keep cool in the summer & demisted in the winter
with a fully working air con system. Most of today's cars come equipped as standard with air con. Unfortunately up to 15% of the systems gas can be lost each year. As the gas reduces so does the efficiency of the air con system.
To keep your air con system working correctly most car manufacturers recommend that you have your system serviced every 2 years. Servicing not only replaces the lost gas , it also removes any harmful moisture from the system , and tops up the systems oil.
From 2016 , cars are equipped with a new, more environmently friendly type of gas in the aircon system , R1234yf . Unfortunately this gas is 5 times more expensive than the old R134a gas , and requires new equipment to service the aircon system. Auto-tech can now service these new systems.

Tip: Use your air con system in the winter at least once a week. Switch on the air con with your heater, it will help remove moisture from the air inside your car - so stop your windows misting up. If you do not use your air con for a long period, the seals in the system will dry, accelerating the gas loss.
